STONE ROSES MAKE LATE EUROVISION ENTRY
Seminal band rush out new track ahead of Saturday’s competition
The Stone Roses made a late bid to be the UK’s representative at the Eurovision final on Saturday and answered rumours of new material last night by releasing a new single, “All For One.”
The new watered down, euro-friendly pop tune is right on the money for the annual competition.
A source close to the band said, “We’re used to the Roses taking their time with new material but this follows hot on the heels of their last single which was released 21 years ago.”
“They’ve been working all hours to get this done in time for Saturday’s Eurovision final. It’s a track that does justice to the competition with its Britpop-by-numbers track and playschool lyrics.”
Fan reaction has been split between the ‘disappointed’ camp and the ‘downright shite’.
“They sound like they’ve been signed to Simon Cowell for a year,” one fan claimed whilst another said, “It sounds like a theme tune to a kids TV programme.”
Other reaction has been less positive.
