“IT’S NOT SO MUCH ACTING AS READING OUT LINES WHEN YOU CAN’T MOVE YOUR FACE” SAYS COLD FEET STAR HERMIONE NORRIS
“It’s never come easier to me” mumbles TV’s Karen Marsden
COLD FEET ACTRESS HERMIONE NORRIS who plays Karen Marsden in the returning hit show says she feels comfortable that she’s finally conquered her art.
“Acting’s never come easier to me,” admits Norris, 49, “Now I can’t move my face I just need to read out the lines.”
“When I first started playing Karen I had to find a way of representing how angry she was by contorting the muscles in my face to produce her trademark scowl. But now I’ve had it permanently rendered that way via the magic of cosmetic surgery, I just need to learn my lines and Bob’s your uncle! It’s a piece of piss!”
Despite promises to leave the bang average comedy series in the 90’s where it belonged, ITV have exhumed it this Autumn in a bid for ratings as they haven’t had a single original idea since 2009. And Hermione isn’t the only one to have altered their look.
“We’ve had to bin half the material,” admits a show producer, “Jimmy Nesbitt’s weave means that slaphead stuff doesn’t work as well.”
