Man reunited with his family after several days missing
A distressed man in his forties has been reunited with his family after being found safe and well.
Fears had been growing for the safety of George Osborne who hadn't been seen since last Thursday with family and friends making urgent pleas for information. However, the 45 year old was located this morning at the Government Treasury holding an empty bottle of whisky and rocking gently back and forth. Police were called and Osborne was later taken to hospital before being discharged and reunited with his family.
Volunteers, who had been helping with the frantic search for most of the weekend, posted a message on social media saying they were delighted George had been found safe and well.
"We're delighted George is back with his family. We've been frantically searching for him for the last couple of days. He's clearly not himself though, he was speaking like the man who used to narrate the instructional film on what to do in the event of a nuclear attack."
In other news police say fears are growing for the welfare of an elderly Islington man who has apparently been abandoned to survive by himself in Westminster.
