DAVID CAMERON TWICE AS LIKELY TO TURN VOTERS TO SELF HARMING AS TO GET THEM TO VOTE REMAIN
Latest study in fresh trashing of former PM
DAVID CAMERON WAS twice as likely to turn voters towards self harming as to get them to vote Remain, new research suggests.
In a fresh trashing of the former Prime Minister’s reputation, the study by the Electoral Reform Society (ERS) found that 29% of people said his contribution made them more likely to inflict lacerations to their own arms.
Just 14% of those surveyed by pollsters BMG said that Cameron was more likely to make them vote for the UK to stay in the EU as opposed to reaching for the razor blades.
Tory Brexit voter Kevin ‘Suspect’ Staines said it came as no surprise to him, “I’ve voted Tory all my life but whenever I saw Cameron on the telly it made me want to stab out my own eyes.”
The new study, published on Thursday, is also scathing about the ‘misleading’ claims’ made on both sides in the bitter campaign, which were allowed to be peddled ‘with total impunity’.
It calls for new rules to govern the likely once a century events including an official body to ‘intervene’ to call out bogus claims quickly in future referenda to avoid voters being left “ill-informed” and disengaged as they were in 2016. Alternatively they suggest putting Michael Gove before a Kim Jong Un anti-aircraft gun firing squad.
